“Oh, (Name)~.”

“(Name), I love you.”

“(Name), I want to see you again.”

“(Name), why did you do this to me?”

“(Name) I-”

You awoke in a cold sweat. It was just a dream. Damn, it was that time of year again, huh? Sighing, you stood up from your bed, showered, and got dressed before taking a look at the clock. Only 4 am, but you weren’t going to be getting any more sleep on this day.

----------

“Hey, (Name)!” Tsubaki greeted cheerfully, noticing you in the cafeteria around 6:30 am.

You turned your tired eyes towards her, exhausted and annoyed due to lack of sleep, but didn’t want to make her upset. Trying your best to hide your inner turmoil, you mumbled, “Hello, Tsubaki.”

The perceptive girl instantly noted that something was wrong. It was pretty hard to tell what you were feeling because of your usually nearly emotionless self, but something was different today. Kissing your cheek, she smiled at you and plopped into the seat next to you. “Do you want to talk about it?”

Your eyes widened just a smidge before you regained composure. “I’m sorry, Tsubaki, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“(Name)-”

“Hey everyone! The great Black Star is here! YAHOOOOOOO!” A loud, bellowing voice screamed before a blur of blue literally leaped onto your table.

“Ah, Black Star! Don’t do that!” Tsubaki cringed at how he was getting dirt on the surface of the eating establishment.

“Huh?” Black Star looked at her in confusion. “Oh, hahahaha! I did not mean to interrupt you and your boyfriend on your little date!” He teased while laughing obnoxiously before you transformed your arm into a hammer and elongated it into his face. “Oof!”

Black Star landed on the ground before rubbing at the bruise. “I’d appreciate it if you could shut up for one day.” You spoke out monotonously and cruelly, before leaving the lunch room. You were probably going to regret hitting Tsubaki’s meister later, but you really weren’t in the mood to deal with such energy.

“Black Star are you alright?” Tsubaki asked him worriedly. “I’m so sorry about (Name). He’s having a bad day.” For once she was ironically apologizing to the male who normally causes the chaos that would make her have to apologize to another person. “I really wonder what’s with him today…”

----------

You ran into the bathroom to splash water onto your face. The cold liquid woke you up and snapped you out of your uncharacteristic anger. Normally you would not show such emotions, but today was really testing your patience.

You choked when you looked at the mirror. “Itarashi Chi” was scribbled all over the surface in blood while other disturbing phrases were written on the walls. “(Name), I want you.” “Don’t leave me!” “How dare you!” “You’re mine!”

You gasped silently at the last sentence, before losing your cool once more.

“I’ll kill her!”

You sent that phrase into oblivion, destroying it along with the glass of the mirror using your hammered fist. You slammed your weapon straight through one of the walls, nearly hitting Soul who ran over to investigate the sounds of destruction.

“Woah, woah, that’s so not cool, (Name)!” He exclaimed, peering in through the hole you made. “You nearly killed me!” The door was completely demolished, so he simply jumped over the rubble into the bathroom.

“Whatever.” You muttered, obviously tense and irritated at what you’d just seen. Exiting the bathroom, you searched for a different area to calm down.

Soul examined what you were trying to wreck, and his eyes grew wide.

----------

“Hm, oh really?”

“Yes, it was really weird, Lord Death.” Soul said to the Shinigami, reporting the incident.

The tall black figure wearing a skull brought his giant white hand to his chin in thought. “This could be a problem, Soul. Are you sure of what you saw?”

“It was more of what I didn’t see. I have no freaking idea about what could have caused (Name) to lose his control. There was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary in the bathroom.”

“(Name)’s not a mad man though. These events point to only one thing, and it’s quite concerning. Be sure to tell all of the EAT class what information I am about to pass to you.”

----------

You should have known that she was a traitor and never fallen in love with her. You should have seen it in her name - Itarashi Chi. The treacherous itachi, or weasel, was hidden within her name all along and she played you like a fool. You cursed how that damn witch still managed to make you feel so horrible on this day that you killed her.

Chi was your deceased meister and you still harbored conflicting feelings about her. You knew that you really did care for her and how painful it was to exterminate her. Despite Chi being nothing but a backstabbing witch, she left long lasting marks upon your soul.

Even years later, on the date of her death, the date you murdered her, you would feel a sudden rush of nausea and melancholy.

The past continued to haunt you.

----------

“A hex?” Tsubaki questioned in confusion.

Mika nodded and bit her lip. “Soul Eater told me. He said that Lord Death believes that (Name)’s past meister, the witch, put a curse on him in her final moments due to spite.”

The silver haired girl lowered her eyes, unable to look at how Tsubaki would react to what she was about to say next.

“He’s going to die.”

----------

“Heheh…” You laughed a bit, stumbling towards the garden where you and Tsubaki kissed a few months ago. “I’m so fucked up.”

Shuddering, you approached the camellia bush, examining the white blossoms. Tracing your fingers down the petals, you wondered if you could still feel the motions of Tsubaki’s fingers that had done the same movement before you.

“Tsubaki’s just going to betray me too, isn’t she?” You chuckled, before growing enraged and tearing off the flower parts. “I shouldn’t be with her! The bitch is probably another witch that’s cast an enchantment spell on me.”

You were totally delusional at the moment, as you further drew into your inner insanity. Ripping off the soft milky petals, you smirked in amusement before transforming your arm into a hammer and striking the camellia shrub until it was nothing but a flattened piece of vegetation.

“I hate this. I can’t trust anyone. Is this world really worth living in?”

----------

“Kim!” Tsubaki rushed over to the girl frantically. “Please, I need help!”

The pink haired meister, or more importantly witch, smiled mischievously. “Yes, I can make some cash off of her.” The teen said to herself before looking at Tsubaki with a jubilant smile. “Of course, my friend! You just gotta know that it’s going to cost you!” Kim winked.

“(Name)’s been hexed!” Tsubaki cried out.

“Yeah, it’s really sad that the hex is going to drive him insane. Maybe if it’s really that extreme, he’ll go on a mass murder spree or even kill himself.”

“Can you do something, anything, to stop it?”

“Sure, for a price-”

“Please, I’ll pay any amount!”

Kim’s green eyes sparkled in excitement. “Alright, I’ll take $2000 for the remedy! It has to be that high of a price since it’s guaranteed to work because of my expertise in healing magic.”

Tsubaki’s tears overflowed, making Kim flinch in surprise. “I-I can’t afford it! What will I do?” She sobbed into her hands. “I don’t want to lose (Name) - I don’t want him to die!”

The bubblegum haired meister sighed, rubbing at her temples. “Okay fine, this one will be on the house.” She grumbled, annoyed that she wasn’t going to be making a profit. “It’s going to a few minutes for me to come up with a spell to overturn the one that the witch used, so go make sure he doesn’t kill anyone.”

“T-thank you Kim!” Tsubaki gasped out a sign of gratitude, wiping away her tears.

Blushing, Kim looked away in annoyance and waved her hand to shoo Tsubaki away. “Yeah, yeah, but I’m only doing this thing once. Don’t expect to get any more free stuff from me in the future!” After the black haired weapon rushed to find you, Kim grumbled, “Sheesh, I’m getting soft.”

----------

“(Name)!” Tsubaki called, noticing you in the garden. She had searched all throughout the school and finally found you by chance.

You looked at her with a crazed glint in your eyes. “Tsubaki, I’m afraid that I’m going to have to kill you now.”

“W-what?” She screamed when you rushed towards her, pinning her against the wall and lifting her up by her neck.

Squeezing your hands and tightening your grip, you spoke, “I know what you were trying to do all these months. You wanted to use me and then backstab the hell out of me, huh?” You avoided her hands that were flailing about in an attempt to break free. “Well nice try, but I’m not getting hurt a second time.”

“(N-name)-” She choked out, but was cut off by you.

“The past always repeats. I can never trust anyone, not you, not Mika-san, not anyone in this freaking world. Thus, I’m going to backstab you before you can backstab me.” Tears began running down your face and Tsubaki stopped struggling. “Oh, have you given up?”

She brought her hands up to rest over yours and smiled at you, causing your eyes to widen. You released her in shock and her body fell to the ground, coughing. Once she was able to talk again, she commented, “(Name), you’re crying. Why?”

“I don’t-”

“It’s because you don’t want to be alone, right?” Tsubaki stood up and walked towards you as you took steps back.

“Shut up! I’ll kill you!” You turned your arm into your weapon form and whacked it onto the ground a few inches away from her body.

“I know you won’t hurt me, (Name). You never would, not intentionally.” She rushed forward and embraced your shaking form. “I promise that I won’t hurt you too.”

An odd flash of light erupted from your body and as soon as it settled, your eyes had lost that crazed glint. Looks like Kim had finished the reversal spell. You let out a sob and clutched desperately to her.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” You cried into her shoulder, muffling your words as Tsubaki comfortingly ran her fingers through your hair. “I don’t want to be alone!”

“I know. That’s all in the past.”

Now, you would look on to the future.
Requested by :iconcolresslawliet:! Anyways, I'm going to say no more sequels for this series since I'm running out of ideas to write about, sorry. :P But, when I take requests again, people can just ask for new oneshots and/or sequels to those oneshots. Anyways, Tsubaki please give some important info to the readers and then do the disclaimer for me.

Tsubaki: First part of this trilogy is here while the second part is over here. Nina doesn't Soul Eater or you, and if you want, you can be mine! :)

Um question. you saw that writing and some of ok seemed to hint that your old meister may have loved you. Is this a plausible idea? Or were you the only one who had those feelings?
