Pictures - Kuroko Tetsuya x Reader

Inspired by “GLITTER DAYS”, KnB Season 3 Ending 1. ...how could I not write something after seeing the pictures and baby!Kuroko xD?

Oh yeah, Kuroko’s mom is in this one. We don’t actually know much about her besides the fact that Kuroko got his looks and invisibility from her. Because it is stated that he inherited his quiet personality from his father, I’m gonna assume that his mom is more open and cheerful than Kuroko, at least for this fanfic. Hope you don’t mind this interpretation of her.

“WHAT?! No, that’s Tetsu-kun?!”

“Haha yes! He was such a cute child, am I right?”

“Oh my god, totally! He’s adorable!”

...showed you your boyfriend’s baby pictures.

His mom laughed along with you, gushing about her child, “Look at his little face! This brings back fond memories of my darling little boy’s younger times.”

“Yeah! He was so chubby and cute!” You guffawed as Nigou barked and wagged his tail from next to you on the couch.

“Ah, my Tetsuya was such a lovely baby.” Kuroko’s mother’s warm blue eyes sparkled.

It was an amazing relationship that you shared with the woman. It was also hilarious how you and his mother would essentially fangirl over Kuroko without his knowledge. If he had known, he certainly would have been incredibly embarrassed.

“Now. Look. At. This.” His mother stressed each word with emphasis, opening up another photobook of pictures depicting Kuroko’s childhood memories. She grinned, pointing at the picture containing an elementary school Kuroko blushing and laughing.

“Aw, he showed so much more emotion when he was young!” You said, holding your hands to your face and squealing. “He doesn’t really do that much now, but I’m glad that the pictures have captured such a time.”

“Yeah I know. Sometimes I wish he’d open up a bit more like me. Well, we can’t help that he adopted his dad’s stoic personality.” Kuroko’s mom said then continued while waving her hand, “...besides Tetsuya’s still cute though even with that blank expression.”

Nigou seemed to agree as well by yapping and wagging his tail.

“Thank you for showing me these.” You said graciously.

“No problem, (F/n)-chan. As my future daughter-in-law, I can’t help but share these treasures with you. In fact, I’ve got a whole other photo book to show you.”

You blushed the slightest at her teasing and smiled. “Really? What other glorious things are there for me to see?”

“Pictures of bathtime!”

It was at that moment that Kuroko Tetsuya entered the room, only to hear the horrifying exclamation. All he did was leave you and his mother alone for an hour to do some grocery shopping at his mom’s request, and then he comes back to find you both laughing over his embarrassing baby photos.

Quickly taking advantage of his low presence, he ran over to the table to slam the photo book shut before looking at you and his mother with an especially deadpan face. It was comically pale though, despite the apparent lack of visible emotion.

“Mother, please don’t show (F/n)-chan these things.”

“Aw, but Tetsuya! She needs to know how tiny and cute you were as a child!” Kuroko’s mom argued, as you took back the book of pictures while Kuroko was distracted. “I mean, look at these chubby cheeks! I’d pinch them all the time when you were younger!”

“...mom, please stop. You’re ruining my manly image.”

“Bwahahaha, what manly image?! Tetsuya, you’re so funny!” His mother burst into laughter, hitting her son’s shoulder as his eyebrow twitched. “You’ll always be my adorable baby, sweetie!”

Kuroko loved his mother, but sometimes she was a handful. ...at least it wasn’t his grandma who was taking a nap in the room upstairs. She found even more enjoyment than his mom in embarrassing her grandson in front of his girlfriend.

While Kuroko’s face was slowly, but surely becoming more flushed in embarrassment, you were flipping through the pictures of the photo book. You chuckled when found your favorite photo. “Oh my, Kuroko-san.” You called to his mom, but gained both the attention of Kuroko’s mother and Kuroko himself. “This one is absolutely perfect!”

She looked over at where you were pointing at and giggled. “Yes, that’s one of my favorites as well.”

The picture showed an elementary school Kuroko in fourth grade with paint all over his face and hands. He was smiling with red cheeks, proudly holding up a picture he created that contained a pink heart with the words “Tetsuya x (F/n)”.

Apparently his love for you ran even deeper than you’d first realized. You two started dating in high school, but you had not expected that he liked you even back in elementary.

“Tetsuya worked all day to make that for you, (F/n)-chan! It was such a romantic valentine! I don’t think he ever gave it to you though.”

“Aw, Tetsu-kun, you should’ve! I wouldn’t have minded!” You grinned cheekily at Kuroko who refused to look at neither you nor his mother. His ears were slightly red, something that you found both amusing and endearing.

You hugged his arm and pecked his flushed cheek, causing it to turn even redder. At that exact moment, a flash temporarily blinded the two of you.

“Now that was perfect!” Kuroko’s mom gushed, fanning herself. “Such a lovely couple’s moment!”

“Mother-”

“I’ve got to get this processed!” She cried, running off to the printer.

Sighing, Kuroko allowed himself to calm to down before looking at you. He almost flushed again at the amused smirk you were wearing, but managed to control himself. He was done with feeling embarrassing for today. “Come on (F/n)-chan. It’s getting late. I’ll walk you home.”

“Ah okay.” He took your hand and led you to the door before his mother appeared practically out of no where. You knew she came back from printing the most recent photo she took today, but you almost screamed due to her invisibility.

Kuroko certainly received his misdirection properties from his spunky, but quiet when needed mother.

She secretly slipped two photos into your hand before you left. One was your favorite picture of the young Kuroko and the other was the newest edition of you kissing a surprised Kuroko.
